This highlights page provides a brief overview of my professional work and current life interests… at this point, I think about islands so much, I can turn any conversation into something about an island.

Work with me…

I am co-facilitating a weekend retreat on the topic of Food Peace at Prairiewoods Center, a place of peace, transformation and belonging, in Hiawatha, Iowa. The next weekend retreat will be January 23 - 25, 2026. If you are looking to deepen your relationship with place, why not consider joining us for a long weekend where we consider how food can enhance our connection with self, others, and the Earth.

The website, The Healthy Knitter, is also home to musings about peace, wandering, and knitting. On this “blog” there are over 100 postings related to cultivating peace in our daily lives originally focused on knitting yet over the years the topics have expanded to include nature, music, and poetry plus much more.

While I’m not presently designing knitting patterns, many of my designs are still available for purchase on Ravelry. My design inspiration comes from nature and my passion for peacebuilding.
