I’m inspired to share my thoughts, aspirations, and knowledge (and struggles) of living a healthy life with other knitters. I’ve created this space to post information about walking, nature, family and friendships, knitting, pattern designs, healthy food, and a few quotes here and there.
As much as we love to knit, we must also acknowledge that knitting promotes excessive sofa time. Unfortunately, too much sitting has been linked with increased risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. My goal is to help other knitters develop long-lasting, sustainable practices that promote health through walking and eating well.
My love of the outdoors is integrated into all that I do; especially my knitting. From designs about snow, trees, mountains, rivers, and beaches. They are created from memories of loved ones, simple pleasures like tea and coffee, or maybe even grand solo adventures. Throughout the year, I’ll be releasing patterns that reflect these memories. I’ll also be releasing a series of patterns to assist the knitter with becoming more physically active. Each pattern will include a knitting project, part of a walking program, and a simple to prepare meal. Stay tuned for updates.
